Room Candle Co “Home for the Holidays” Set

This candle company is handmade by Zac’s oldest childhood friend who was once a renown chef (HE WAS ON AND WON “CHOPPPED!”) turned cheese maker turned candle maker. They are clean, the wax blend is perfect, and they have serious “throw” (i.e. they fill up the room with scent!). They have so many different variations to choose from, but I’m listing their ‘Home for the Holidays’ set that comes with their 4 holiday scents: Fig & Sprig, French Toast & Slippers, Mulled Cider, and Snow Camp. You also can’t go wrong with the aptly named ‘Commitment Issues’ set that includes your choice of any of their scents in 2 oz tins.

hedley & bennett Oven Mitts

THESE COLORS THOUGH?!?!? I’m extremely partial to the “Rhubarb,” but would take any of them EXCEPT FOR THE MICKEY MOUSE ONES. For $30, these are a great gift for the home chef or baker in your life.

hedley & bennett Smock Apron

I love a smock apron. They’re so much more whimsical than a standard tie-at-the-waist apron, IMO. I couldn’t choose one to highlight because I’m obsessed with all the patterns available (especially all the Rifle Paper Co. collabs), so have at it!

Caro Chambers… everything?

It’s no secret Caro is my go-to for all cooking. I’ve never made one meal of hers that’s good  — they’re all FUCKING FANTASTIC. So my suggestion is to do one of two things or both: 1) Gift someone her cookbook, What To Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking or 2) Gift someone a yearly subscription ($50) to her incredibly fun, helpful, entertaining, delicious Substack of the same name. You can’t go wrong either way.

Cutting Glove

The way this thing has saved my hands and fingers more times than I can count? It’s a total necessity in the kitchen, especially when you’re dealing with mandolines or anything you’re trying to finely slice, shave, or chop. Someone and their fingers will thank you.

Great Jones Stud Muffin Tin

COLOR!!! Upgrade someone’s boring grey muffin tin game with a Raspberry or Blueberry colored tin. I make so many damn muffins since it’s one of Ziggy’s major food groups, and baking them in this is delightful.

Big Ass Skillet

Not its official name, but that’s how I describe it. I love a one-skillet meal as much as the next girl, but I was getting SO ANNOYED with how little my puny skillets could handle, volume-wise. So I got this bad boy and HOLY CANNOLI — it’s 12-inches in diameter, super deep, and can hold so much stir fry. I love it so deeply and someone else in your life will, too.

Vintage Oyster Tray

DID YOU KNOW THESE WERE A THING? CAUSE I SURE AS SHIT DIDN’T. I love oysters so deeply and, while we don’t bring them home often, just the idea of having a tray specifically for them is titillating beyond words. Etsy has so many amazing ones for the oyster-lovers in your life! Scroll through and prepare to be amazed.

Fluted Glassware

I’m a slut for glassware. I can’t get enough (even though we don’t need anymore). I love these tumblers and coupes in the “Prune” color. They feel so vintage and chic.

Popcorn Bowl

If you don’t have a designated popcorn bowl, what are you even doing? These colors from East Fork are SO GOOD. I want one of each, but my top picks would be: Malachite, Guava, and Panna Cotta. God I love a designated bowl!!!

Electric Kettle

I’ve been a gas kettle girlie for most of my life, but with how often I’m making tea and instant coffee this pregnancy, I’ve come to really want an electric kettle to ease my efforts. I love all the colors available in this one!

Flamingo Estate EVOO + Balsamic Vinegar

So I was sent these two products as a gifting thing, and OMG. This is some high quality shiz and would make such a classy present for the cook in your life. The packaging itself is gorgeous, and I once heard a very famous chef say that what makes a good meal is TOP QUALITY ingredients. Period. The best shit you can find will = the best food you can make. Forget the Trader Joe’s balsamic and the $8 Bertolli olive oil from Walmart. Up their game.

Ceramic OO Dispenser

Speaking of olive oil, I prefer to transfer it into a dispenser so I have more control over what comes out. I love these handmade ceramic dispensers, and I have a feeling a kitschy-in-a-good-way cook in your life will, too.

Dusen Dusen Trash Can

I had no idea that trash can be… so cute? And fun? And colorful? I am fully planning on getting one (maybe two?) of these for our home. They’re just so magical, my GOD.

The Most Incredible Fruit Bowl I’ve Ever Seen

The gasp I gusped when I saw this??? Like what in the world. Where has this been my entire adulthood? All of the colorways are phenomenal and I adore the quirkiness of the “feet.” It’s a splurge but if you know a bowl-obsessed psycho in your life like me, they will lose their shit over this!!! (ZAC — ADD TO MY LIST, PLEASE).
