Homemade Whipped Cream

In an effort to get more excited about eating berries for dessert, I whipped up my own whipped cream the other night and wanted to bathe in the bowl. This recipe is so simple and so fast — kinda nervous I’ll be making it all the time now. P.S. I cut it in half because one single woman doesn’t need THAT much whipped cream (or does she?).

Homemade Whipped Cream by Add a Pinch

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tablespoons sugar, honey, or maple syrup

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or other flavorings or liquors

  • Place mixer bowl and whisk in freezer for at least 20 minutes to chill (this is imperative!)

  • Pour heavy whipping cream, sugar and vanilla into the cold bowl and whisk on highest speed until medium to stiff peaks form, about 1 minute (try not to over beat)
